The produce along the Fleurieu Peninsula will not disappoint you. The rich soil of this part of the world yields varieties and flavours that will make your trip here memorable. If you live in the Fleurieu, well, us city slickers are jealous!
If you decide to make your home at The Village Green, Aldinga, we urge you to put these markets on you list of places to explore:
Port Elliot Market
First of all, you are walking distance to Port Elliot Bakery where you can literally choose from over 200 products to fill thy belly. But before you do that, visit the stalls filled with blooming flowers, trinkets and the ever popular dutch pancakes.
Here you will find the friendliest people you can ever meet, truly. The stalls are run by Yankalilla locals with some great wares - home made jams, mini meringue cakes and locally produced vegetable and fruit.
Here you can meet the growers of your favourite foods that are guaranteed to be fresh, seasonal and local. Come here for great coffee and a great atmosphere. Buskers set the stage for the little ones to dance up a storm whilst you secretly eat that flaky croissant that you didn't want to share with them!
We love this area and we celebrate the people that make it a community we want to live in. We hope that if you have chosen The Village Green to call home, that you can celebrate what is great about the Fleurieu too!
